The Kingmate blade holder is also recommended for heavy-duty applications such as reel drum, bottom calendar rolls and cut-off doctors in creping applications.

The Kingmate holder's design allows for rapid blade changes. Blades may be profiled to the roll at installation, eliminating the obsolete practice of shimming each blade. This facilitates rapid changes while maintaining the profile across the roll. Kingmate holders are available in mild steel or 304/316 stainless steel. Wear-resistant adjusting screws provide long life as well as precision performance.

The Kingmate holds the blade firmly against the roll. Micro-adjusting screws permit a uniform blade fit across the roll's entire face. These screws allow a 5/32 inch adjustment for surface variations so that, in normal use, the holder mounting bolts can be left untouched between blade changes. The micro-adjusting screws are located in the holder immediately behind each mounting bolt. As the adjusting screw is forced against the doctor back, it pivots the holder and blade onto the roll.
